Valerie Anne Bertinelli (born April 14th in 1970) is an American writer and actress. With her two Golden Globe Awards, the actress has made her name famous in roles such as Barbara in CBS One Day at a Time or Melanie Moretti in Hot in Cleveland. When she was in her teens when she was in her teens, she started acting and became a character actor. While she was young her friendship developed with the daughter of one of the television producer. This brought her into the industry of entertainment, and prompted her to pursue a career as an actor. After completing her studies in the Tami Lynn School of Artists Bertinelli forayed into television as an adult. Her popularity quickly grew due to her poise, acting abilities and a confident demeanor. Her rocky personal life was widely known, as were her battles with substance abuse and various difficulties. Yet, she fought tirelessly to overcome these and to reclaim her living. Her name is known to the people through her New York Times best-selling books that chronicle her struggles during the tough times in her life. Her current work is hosting her cooking program Kids Baking Championship. The chubby teen turned sexual icon has also been associated and a spokesperson of her Jenny Craig program.
